Coming to the big screen on Christmas Day, the all-new “The Color Purple” is a bold new take on the beloved classic, based on the novel and the award-winning Broadway musical.  Fantasia Barrino is Celie, whose decades-long journey from hardship to independence is possible thanks to the strength and hope she finds through the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood.  The film stars Taraji P. Henson and Danielle Brooks as Shug Avery and Sofia, alongside powerhouse performers Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R., Halle Bailey and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and many more. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theaters December 25th.
